Several Fight Nights to be held across Goa in the coming months 

The 1st Great Fight Night organised by Tito’s in association with Goa Boxing Association got off to a great start in Goa. 6 boys and 4 girls (14-23 years old) from Mapusa, Porvorim, Panjim etc were boxing on Tito’s Arena on the 3d of March. Next Fight Night is in April, Anjuna
The first edition saw team Lights Out win with 3 bouts. Umesh Chavan defeated A K Roshanzamir through split decision in a very close and tough bout. In the women’s category Rinky Dabholkar defeated Simran AK through a split decision. National player Prachi Kerkar defeated defeated national medalists Shrisha Jampulla in a close and aggressive bout.
Pralhad Panda from Bone Crushers defeated national camper Ashok Patil  while Salim Wasur  defeated national player Anup Prasad in a bout that saw tremendous action and aggression. The bout went in favour of Salim.
The Great Fight Night organised on the lines of professional boxing gave an opportunity to some of Goa’s best boxing talent to play and win cash prizes. The bouts gathered a huge crowd at Tito’s Arena on the busy Tito’s lane.
Organiser Ricky D’Souza said, “This is the first small step towards taking Boxing to a greater platform in Goa and creating talent.”
Several editions of the The Great Fight Night are being scheduled to be held at various locations in Goa.
Secretary, Goa Boxing Association said, “2018 has been a great year for Goa Boxing Association. Our primary aim is to popularise the sport and get respect and fan support for our Goan boxing talent. We are hopefully people will come forward to support our sporting cause and help us create household names in Goa like Vijender and Mary Kom. “
